Today was the first day of filming for a mock movie trailer for a script by Lessa Keller-Kenton involving a disastrous code designed by group of rogue catalogers to crash SIRSI and re-catalog everything—every last book, movie and learning kit—in the Library of Congress system. Think Mission Impossible with librarians.

The first day of filming was great. As cinematographer, I came up with a few extra unplanned awesome shots. Oh, yeah! We spent about two hours filming in the library for possibly about a minute of footage. At some point this week, Lessa will get footage of a spy movie style rope drop-in and next Sunday we’ll finish filming at another library.
