Yesterday, I filmed the music video, “Friction,” from The Happily Entitled’s upcoming EP album. I have to say, everything went great! We got some really beautiful shots. I had a good time. If anything, I got a little sun burnt. I want to go ahead and share some production stills from the shoot. Keep in mind these are raw stills (downsized from 4K) from the shoot and may not be the exact shots used in the final production of the music video.
The music video will debut on a future episode of Uncovering Oklahoma in about a month, before the release of their album on June 11th. Stay turned for updates!
In the new weekly Uncovering Oklahoma video, Jill Castilla talks about Heard on Hurd, a monthly food truck, music, and shopping festival in Downtown Edmond. Joining Jill to talk about the event is Stephen Viljoen of The Patriarch and Pam Lafollette and Farah Walker.
Then Evan Comer describes the sensation of indoor skydiving at iFly in Oklahoma City, which everyone can do!
Tomorrow, I’m shooting a music video with local rock band, The Happily Entitled, which will make it’s debut on Uncovering Oklahoma later in the month! I don’t want to give away too much about the project, but it’s going to be artsy and awesome.
Uncovering Oklahoma talks about Oklahomans for the Arts’ event, Oklahoma Arts Day and why public funding for the arts is important with Julia Kirt (Oklahomans for the Arts), Erinn Gavaghan (Norman Arts Council), Jessica Farling (Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art), and Melissa Smith (Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art). It’s an inspiriting video that will be relevant past the yearly Oklahoma Arts Day. It’s a slower pace than some of my other videos, but with the subject matter and the help of the music, it works rather well.
Following the Arts Day segment is an interview with William Franklin, the owner of Tulsa retail shop that’s more of an experience, DECOPOLIS, and the Tulsa Art Deco Museum.
Next week’s video will involve coffee.
I am ecstatic to announce my feature length documentary, District Up!, will make its World Premiere at the deadCENTER Film Festival! It will be showing in the festival’s new satellite venue at the Plaza District, which is only fitting for the film as it does feature the district. 🙂
Showtime is Friday, June 10 at 8:00pm at The District House 1755 NW 16th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73106.
Come see it!
