This conversation happened after St. Paty’s day

I had to share this conversation. Texted a friend to let everyone know that I made it home safely after St. Patrick’s Day. (I never drank anything, but they were worried about me being hit by a drunk.) This is what transpired:

Edition 1.1 of Uncovering Oklahoma’s Date Guide Released

Edition 1.1 of Uncovering Oklahoma’s Date Guide book has been released. What started out as a simple update to replace the quote for Nonna’s to be timeless (the original the quote talked about Valentine’s Day), ended up spiraling into something a little bigger. First, I figured I could update the upcoming theatre show performances. Then why now add another location? I already had a picture for Lyric Theatre, so I got in touch with them for a quote. (I want to update my picture for them though next time I’m there.) I also made some minor fixes and changes. The book is now in a higher resolution (great for the new iPad 3) and the PDF file is cleaner.

The PDF version is now available and the iBookstore should update with the new version soon.

On the subject of Uncovering Oklahoma, the site has been buzzing lately thanks in park to my St. Patrick’s Day 2012 Events article.

Living Dead Laser Tag – HeyDay Entertainment

Back in October 2010 I was in a video for Living Dead Laser Tag at HeyDay Entertainment. Today, I finally got to see that video and you can watch it here on YouTube. For my scene, we did like 20 takes with me saying different lines each time. In some of them I mentioned the current governor at the time, Brad Henry. In the end, they stuck with a timeless line. They filmed my scene first while everyone was in make-up. I wanted to stick around longer, so I suggested that the zombies outside of HeyDay should be eating a person. That person down on the ground was me. The director made a comment about my hair being “memorable” so I was positioned so you couldn’t see my hair.

It was a fun shot. Check out the video for yourself.

Cookies and Cards Interview

In my fastest turn around time for a video yet is my interview with Nancy Russell of Cookies and Cards in Norman. I filmed and edited this interview today. Cookies & Cards is a place in Norman for unique gifts, jewelry, greeting cards for all occasions and, of course, amazing cupcakes and other sweet treats. Nancy is a wonderful person. I tried her one her sugar cookies with strawberry cream cheese icing, which I’m not a fan of strawberry stuff – but this cookie delicious, and a chocolate cupcake, which was super moist. The video can be watched above, which is the first time I’m on camera for an interview (trying something new for the restaurant interviews). For the transcription, pictures, and more visit Uncovering Oklahoma’s page on Cookies and Cards.

In other Uncovering Oklahoma news, I submitted version 1.1 of the date guide book to Apple for approval for the iBookstore. This update includes some fixes and minor additions. The updated version will be released soon.
