Factory Obscura’s Mix-Tape Phase 2

Factory Obscura, the art collective responsible for multiple temporary, immersive art experiences across Oklahoma City, has opened Phase 2 of its Mix-Tape experience, which features a 6,000-square-foot, hand-crafted, immersive art experience at its first permanent location on 9th Street in Automobile Alley.

In this Uncovering Oklahoma story, I interviewed Kelsey Karper, Factory Obscura co-founder and director of logistical creativity and show footage from their opening night event.

This place is worth a visit!

New State Burgers & Spirits

Focusing on quality instead of quantity, New State Burgers & Spirits in Oklahoma City brings a service–focused burger to the Plaza District. Jay Iaquinta, Jordan Harris, and Tyler Maune discuss what you can expect to enjoy when you visit New State.

I had the Hot Hamburger during my visit there and that was delicious.

Visit New State Burgers & Spirits at 1705 NW 16th Street in Oklahoma City or their website at www.NewStateBurgers.com for more information, including hours and menu.

Oklahoma State Fair Food 2019

I visited the 2019 Oklahoma State Fair with Meg Cathey and Tabbi Burwell of Visit OKC on opening day to sample some of the new and award-winning fair foods. We managed to visit eight places – The Urb Express, Cutie Pies Concession, Cookie Dough Monsters, Minneapple Pie, Project Krave, Freed Family Farm, Cheese Curd Tacos, and Oklahoma Pork Council – before we got too full.

The 2019 Oklahoma State Fair starts September 12th and goes through the 22nd.
