The Kiss by Klint Schor

“The kiss presented here shows no gender, ethnicity, or religious belief. It is an unassuming, intimate moment of two figures united. It is not only the obvious gesture, but it is also literally the physical connection point of the two separate pieces coming together, retaining their individuality but requiring each to support the other, giving the sculpture its stability and reinforcing the notion of a kiss/love.” – Klint Schor

You can find this new sculpture on the northeast corner of N. Robinson Avenue and Robert S. Kerr.

DoubleShot Coffee Company

DoubleShot Coffee, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, distinguishes itself with a deliberately limited menu focused on expertly crafted, non-milk drinks such as americanos, espressos, and pour overs. Owned and roasted by Brian Franklin, the company emphasizes a hands-on, manual approach to coffee roasting, eschewing computer control to create a nuanced flavor profile. Franklin, who travels globally to source coffee and connect with farmers, encourages patrons to appreciate the inherent flavors of their coffees without additives. ‘

The iconic building housing DoubleShot is a meticulously reconstructed 1850s Amish dairy barn, fostering a unique and authentic atmosphere. Sustainability is integral, with 70 solar panels generating a third of their power, and the use of reclaimed materials from various sources.

Complementing their exceptional coffee offerings are freshly made pastries designed to enhance the overall coffee experience. DoubleShot’s mission extends beyond profit, aiming to educate and share the true essence of coffee with those who may not yet appreciate its nuances, inviting everyone to indulge in a genuine coffee experience at their distinctive establishment.

Welcome to My Dreams by Ander Cardinale

Ander Cardinale was born in Mexico City in 1984. He began working with toys at a young age and his family and teachers quickly recognized his talent. He studied architecture in Puebla, Mexico, and after graduating, he began exploring the world while he was working for the Walt Disney Company in Orlando and Paris. In 2015, he moved to Oklahoma to live with the love of his life.

Cardinale’s work is characterized by its use of bright colors and bold shapes. His art is playful and cheerful. He paints, illustrates, and sculpts, but his favorite medium is toys. Cardinale is a self-taught artist, very passionate about his work, and is committed to using toys to explore important social issues. He believes that toys can be a powerful tool for change and hopes that his work will inspire others to be loving and empathetic to make the world a better place. He is influenced by various artists, including Walt Disney, Alexander Calder, Ruth Handler, Lauren Faust, and Miss Mindy.

His work has been featured in various venues in Norman, Oklahoma, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in the Art of Toys Museum in Sacramento, California, and at Disney’s D23 Expo 2019 in Anaheim, California. He is currently working on a series of toys representing the importance of love, dreams, diversity, and inclusion.
